Genesis Networks Names Doug Triblehorn Vice President, Asia-PacificWednesday, August 08, 2007
New York–NEW YORK - Aug. 8, 2007 - Genesis Networks, a provider of next-generation global video transmission services, has appointed industry veteran Doug Triblehorn as the company's new vice president for the Asia-Pacific region. Triblehorn will work to expand Genesis Networks' business in Japan, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand, with plans to move into Singapore and Malaysia later this year. Additionally, Triblehorn will build on relationships with Genesis' satellite partners to provide hybrid solutions for customers who require point-to-multipoint or last mile access.
Triblehorn began his career in the satellite communications field in 1988 with IDB Communications. He has held various senior-level positions at Keystone Communications, GlobeCast, and Intelsat, and was founder and president of Zap Media Advisers, a consulting firm that advised U.S. and international broadcasters and related companies on successful management of worldwide business operations.
Triblehorn spent seven years in Singapore with GlobeCast, rising to the position of CEO of GlobeCast Asia, and then with Intelsat as vice president, Asia-Pacific for the company's media and entertainment business unit. Most recently, he was vice president of sales and marketing for End II End Communications, a software company specializing in optimization of wide-area network performance, cost, and efficiencies.
"The Asia-Pacific market is undergoing exciting growth. Broadcasters there are demanding global solutions that will fulfill their expectations for delivering premium-quality video to support the backhaul of channels across continents to DTH and cable platforms, as well as for news, sports, and high-profile special events," said Triblehorn. "Genesis Networks' revolutionary approach to giving customers complete control, combined with unparalleled flexibility, scalability, and efficiency over a worldwide meshed video network, is exactly what these broadcasters have been seeking for years."
"We're fortunate to have a professional of Doug's caliber to lead our Asia-Pacific operations. He brings nearly two decades of experience spearheading the business for some of the most successful transmission solution companies servicing the Asia-Pacific," said Paul Dujardin, CEO of Genesis Networks. "Doug has deep insight into broadcasters' ongoing challenges and requirements, and he'll introduce creative ways of delivering unparalleled value to the Asian broadcast community and tailoring our offerings to support every phase of a transmission-based business."
