SOMOS TV Chooses Genesis Networks for Origination and Distribution of Its Two Movie Channels

NEW YORK — SOMOS TV has awarded Genesis Networks a contract to provide a fully managed network distribution solution in North America for two of their television channels, Venemovies East and Venemovies West.  Genesis Networks will provide origination services and network distribution as part of the solution connecting the Venemovies production facility in Miami to Genesis’ international video fiber network, which includes connectivity to the Genesis Networks Master Control and uplink facilities in New York. 

The two Venemovies channels will be available on Galaxy 23 for access by major cable and DTH affiliates throughout North America.  Genesis will provide similar service for a third SomosTV channel as well, Semillitas, a unique preschooler oriented channel, which is planned to be launched in the US market soon.
